Phantom of The Sleepless Night

Written by Enos Sopacuaperu

The ticking clock, steady beat

Each second crawls, slow retreat.

My weary eyes, hollow stare

Gazing cold, bleak and bare.

The sleep eludes me, phantom of the night

A subtle shadow, bathed in eerie light.

This mind a tempest, the thoughts wild and free

No solace found, just me and this solitary.

The silence scream, loud and fright

The whisper echoes, stuck in my head.

A restless spirit, trapped in the endless night

Yearning for slumber, but gone with all its might.

The dawn approaches, the morning's grace

A worry mind, the soul can't embrace.

Each whisper still echoes, stay inside the head

This restless spirit, revolving in the sleepless night.
